We live in an era where technology plays a massive part in day to day life. Instant messenger, camera phones, webcam. Being distant from a partner and missing one another may not be as hard as you thought. Or perhaps you’re single and fancy trying it out.

Cyber sex can take place with a partner, on a dating website or message chat room anonymously. This doesn’t have to be a scary thing. You’re in the comfort of your own home, and you have the choice of how far to take it. Sending sexy photographs, talking dirty via microphone/text, playing dress up, or being more experimental and going on webcam are all things that you can do.

If you’re shy, then perhaps you should start off small by sending a photograph in your underwear. If you can’t talk naughtily over the telephone, then do so through instant messenger. Describe what you’re doing, or what you want to do to them, what you’re wearing, how they’re making you feel etc.

Don’t do anything which you’re not comfortable with. If you’re not enjoying the moment, then stop it, as there is no point.

You can be anyone you want to be online. You can dress up, pretend to be a different character, fulfil any fantasies in which you may have. When sitting behind a computer screen, you may feel more comfortable to do things that you wouldn’t otherwise do in real life.

Ensure that the person you’re communicating with is someone that you trust. The last thing you want is for your photographs to appear all over the Internet, or your videos on YouTube. It may be wise to write under a false name, and if you don’t want to reveal your face, wear an eye-mask, or show only your body.

If you’re away from a partner, this form of communication can be great.
